Necklace length varies in most styles, most are listed in their description so to see where they would land on you just use a measuring tape with the same.

Bolo – A necklace with a chord or chain that holds together through the pendant/feature. You can adjust the length by sliding this through the 2 ends of the necklace.

Chain – A necklace made up of chain links. They come in many different styles and sizes. They often have other things attached to them such as pendants or gemstones.

Choker – A necklace meant to hug the midsection or base of the neck, however it shouldn’t be overly tight. They tend to be 12-16 inches in length (30-40cm).

Collar – A necklace meant to hang around your collarbone.

Lariat/Y neck – A necklace that has a Y shape to it, with a strand and usually a kind of intricate design.

Lavalier – Similar to Lariat necklace but with a gem or being suspended from the drop. Other times you have an intricately designed pendant.

Layered – Necklaces with multiple strands, not always all identical to each other. Usually quite thin and dainty so it doesn’t become overly bulky. Max strands is usually 3 or 4 and designed to be worn together. Variety of length in the strands.

Locket – Necklace that has a locket, The locket usually weighs the strand down a bit to form a V shape. Lockets open up to show a picture or something else inside.

Pendant Necklace – Necklace with a pendant off the strand. They are usually removable so you can add pendants to whatever strand you like. Their designs can be anything.

Station – A necklace with evenly spaced out beads or gems along the strand. Usually made of metal like silver.
